Waste Management
The construction sector currently generates approximately one third of all waste in the UK and therefore has a significant opportunity to make a positive contribution to reducing the amount of waste it generates and in particular the amount of waste it sends to landfill. Defence Estates has responded to the waste agenda by developing a Waste Charter in partnership with its key supply chain partners.
Debut is a signatory of the WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) half waste to landfill commitment and the Defence Estates’ Waste Charter.
Our Aims are to:
● Design out waste
● Manage materials efficiently
● Utilise materials with high recycled content in the construction of assets
● Maximise Recycling and Reuse of materials
● Reduce our waste to landfill during the construction and management of assets
Our responsible approach to waste management includes the early development and implementation of a Site Waste Management Plan, using a bespoke electronic tool for all Core Works and Core Services projects.
